PRIORITIES
1. Community-First Representation
- Accessibility for Residents: Establish regular, transparent quarterly Town Halls
across all Ward 6 neighborhoods.
- Advocacy for Condo & Ratepayers: Provide a direct voice for homeowner associations
at City Hall. Champion homeowners and tenants and report back on progress.
- Multicultural Outreach: Deliver campaign and city communications in the diverse
languages of our ward and support diverse communities.
- 40-Year Local Commitment: Use deep roots in Mississauga and Ward 6 to put resident
needs before political optics.


2. Smart Growth, Strong Communities & Housing Affordability
- Champion of Senior Care: Expand local long-term care access and home care access and other essential resources through Ontario Health at Home for Ward 6 families.
- Help Youth Succeed: Create more pathways to employment, trades, entrepreneurship, and career success while providing easy access to local programs, services, and opportunities through a dedicated Youth Resources Hub.
- High-Rise Balance: Introducing stricter checks and balances on new high-density developments to ensure they align with existing neighborhood structures.
- Provincial Funding Integration: Secure maximum capital investments from Ontario Ministries to protect local taxpayers.
- Oversight of Construction: Apply decades of site-management experience to deliver municipal projects on time.
- Championship of Senior Care: Expand local long-term care access and resources for Ward 6 families.
- Responsible Housing Development: Ensure new housing projects match the community's infrastructure capacity. Streamline local zoning approvals to build missing-middle housing (townhomes, duplexes) near major transit corridors like the Hurontario LRT.
- Affordable Housing Options: Focus on creating a realistic mix of affordable rental and entry-level purchase dwellings to help young families and new homeowners stay in the ward.
- Infrastructure Parity: Ensuring that any new development could be tied to immediate expansions in local park spaces, school capacities, and utility infrastructure.
3. Community Safety & Crime Prevention
- Task Forces on Crime: Addressing rising localized crime rates by establishing resident-led community safety task forces.
- Combat Community Violence and Property Crime: Work with police, fire, and community partners to address shootings, home invasions, car theft, break-ins, extortion, organized crime and other safety concerns. These crimes are getting out of control in Mississauga.
- Public Safety and Bail Concerns: Residents in Mississauga complain that too many repeat offenders of serious crimes are back on Mississauga streets too quickly. Critics agree that current penalties do not adequately deter these brazen acts. Will focus on engaging with council on this topic including review of penalties for repeat offenders.
- Traffic Calming: Addressing resident complaints regarding localized traffic safety, stunt driving, and speeding through high-frequency areas like Mavis Road and Creditview Road.
- Neighborhood Watch Support: Strengthening municipal support and funding for local community policing initiatives and neighborhood watch programs.


4. Efficient City Hall & Labor Relations
- Improve Labour Relations and Service Delivery: Partner with Human Resources professionals to strengthen productive union relations across the city. Develop and maintain a very high level of respect for city workers and maintain a climate that allows them to get involved
and work together as proud and engaged members of the team.
- Culture Change Leadership: Ensure city supervisors are trained to improve workforce engagement and ultimately improve service delivery. Strengthen leadership development, cutting red tape, enhancing coordination across departments and ensuring
clear public reporting on municipal performance.
- Bureaucracy Reduction: Streamline municipal permit approvals and licensing processes for small businesses.
- Collaborative Council Governance: Bridge communication gaps between city management, council, and front-line workers.
5. Transit & Infrastructure Maintenance
- Gridlock Mitigation: Prioritizing the repair and synchronization of existing road networks to combat growing traffic congestion.
- Active Transportation: Expanding local sidewalk networks, cycling paths, and transit stops to securely connect Ward 6 neighborhoods to the broader MiWay and GO Transit networks.
- Disaster & Flood Resilience: Investing in robust stormwater infrastructure, a crucial priority for protecting properties located along the Credit River against extreme weather.
- Infrastructure for the Future: Advocate for planning and building infrastructure for future projects therefore mitigating delays in much needed capital projects in Ward 6.


6. Parks, Recreation & Community Services
- All-Ages Spaces: Adding dedicated leisure and recreation spaces tailored specifically for both children and the growing older adult population in the ward.
- Community Hub Accessibility: Keeping local community centres and sports facilities open later or expanding programming to provide safe spaces for youth.
- Green Space Preservation: Protecting and maintaining the local park systems and trails threading through East Credit and Erindale.
7. Fiscal Responsibility & Property Tax Relief
- Audit City Spending: Review city spending to reduce inefficiencies and improve accountability. Utilize a structured process combining comprehensive operational auditing, data transparency and leveraging specialized funding.
- Control Property Taxes: Mitigate aggressive tax increases by optimizing existing operational budgets. Will demand transparent spending, while reviewing municipal programs for waste, keeping property taxes affordable.
- Value-for-Money Services: Ensure every tax dollar directly delivers value for roads, infrastructure, safety, parks and community services.
- Lean Budget Management: Apply rigorous cost-benefit discipline and proven financial leadership to multi-million-dollar city budgets to manage our city & assets responsibly.
